Many Balinese ceremonies are open to respectful visitors. Wear a sarong and a sash, keep your shoulders covered and never step over offerings on the ground.

Stay behind the worshippers, ask before taking photos and keep your head lower than the priest’s.

A local guide can tell you which ceremonies are happening this week and which are private.
